CORTLAND, N.Y. - Chelsey Simon (Oneida) won two events and Elizabeth Connolly (Lockport) won one race and finished second in two others as Cortland lost to New Paltz, 174-88, in a home dual meet.

Simon touched the wall first in both the 200-yard butterfly (2:15.89) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.84). Connolly won the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.70) and posted runner-up showings in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:13.84) and 100-yard freestyle (55.26).

Also for the Red Dragons, Angelica Ford (Elk Grove Village, IL) finished second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.32), Amanda Grossman (Schaghticoke/Hoosic Valley) was second in the 50-yard freestyle (26.32), and Brianne Munch (East Lyme, CT) finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:42.98).

Cortland will compete at the RPI Kumpf Invitational on Saturday at noon.
