Three Red Dragon Men Post Multiple Victories in 133-104 Home Dual Win vs. Oswego

Jack Jakubek won the 100-yard breaststroke and finished second in the 400-yard IM
CORTLAND, N.Y. – Brian Cremer (Blue Point/Bayport-Blue Point), Dylan Burns (Cornwall) and Lee Wade (Holtsville/Sachem East) each won two events as Cortland's men's swimming and diving team closed out its home dual-meet schedule with a 133-104 victory over Oswego.
 
Cremer won the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.22) and 500-yard freestyle (5:09.78), and Burns captured the 50-yard freestyle (22.28) and 100-yard backstroke (55.56). Wade won both diving events, registering a score of 281.85 points on the 1-meter board and 276.90 points on the 3-meter board.
 
Jack Jakubek (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.46) and finished second in the 400-yard individual medley (4:43.07). Cortland also won both relays at the meet. Burns, Jakubek, Mathew Hasbrouck (New Paltz) and Bailey Eigbrett (Avon) won the 200-yard medley relay (1:39.14), while Cremer, Jamie Miller (Eden), Tim Thatcher (Staten Island/St. Peter's Boys) and Hasbrouck won the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:29.67).
 
Also for the Red Dragons, Thatcher finished second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:45.67) and Adam Kirchgessner (Irondequoit/West Irondequoit) was the runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.31).
 
Cortland will compete in a dual meet at Div. II Le Moyne College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
