Megan Wagner turned in a time of 22:32 over 6,000 meters for 81st place out of 373 runners
BETHLEHEM, PA. – Cortland's women's cross country team finished in 16th place overall, and was the eighth Division III finisher, in the Brown Division of the Lehigh University Paul Short Run. Cortland finished with 487 points, one behind Haverford. Princeton won the team title with 44 points.
Mary Baughman (Rush/Rush-Henrietta) finished in 22nd place in a field of 373 runners with her 6,000-meter time of 21 minutes, 39 seconds. St. Lawrence's Megan Kellogg won the race in 20:52.
Allison Schumann (North Salem) finished 78th overall in 22:30 and
Megan Wagner (Niskayuna) was 81st in 22:32.
Jasmine Meerdink (Rome/Rome Free Academy) placed 134th in 22:58 and
Sara Billings (Gansevoort/South Glens Falls) was 202nd in 23:38.
Finishing off Cortland's top seven were
Eliza Nichols (Smithtown/Smithtown West) in 288th place (24:28) and
Gwen Proper (Sylvan Beach/Camden) in 293rd place (24:30).
Cortland will travel to Clinton, N.Y., next Saturday for the Hamilton College Invitational. The women are scheduled for a noon start, with the men preceding them at 11 a.m.
