Senior Mary Baughman earned first team All-SUNYAC honors for the second year in a row

Mary Baughman (Rush/Rush Henrietta) earned first team All-SUNYAC honors for the second consecutive year as the Cortland women's cross country team placed third out of 10 teams at the SUNYAC Championships hosted by SUNY Geneseo at Letchworth State Park. The Red Dragons scored 113 points, trailing champion Geneseo (28) and runner-up Oneonta (43). Fredonia (118) and Plattsburgh (120) completed the top five.
Baughman recorded a time of 21:57.2 over the 6,000-meter course to finish as Cortland's top runner and fourth overall. Geneseo senior Sara Rozenzweig won the individual title with a time of 21:46.6. A total of 113 runners competed.
Junior
Allison Schumann (North Salem) garnered third team all-conference honors with her 11th-place finish in 22:27.7. Junior
Megan Wagner (Niskayuna) narrowly missed earning third team All-SUNYAC honors with her 16th-place finish in 22:38.2. Placers first through fifth are first team selections, sixth through 10th are second team honorees and 11th through 15th receive third team honors.
Freshman
Eliza Nichols (Smithtown/Smithtown West) was Cortland's fourth scorer, crossing the finish line in 46th place (23:54.3), while junior
Jasmine Meerdink (Rome/Rome Free Academy) finished as the Red Dragons' fifth scorer in 52nd place (24:06.5).
Rounding out Cortland's top seven were sophomore
Gwen Proper (Sylvan Beach/Camden) in 60th place (24:30.6) and junior
Sara Billings (Gansevoort/South Glens Falls) in 75th place (25:22.0).
