CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Cortland and Nazareth men's hockey teams skated to a 2-2 overtime tie Saturday night at Alumni Arena in a non-conference matchup. After the game, the Red Dragons' record is 4-5-1 and the Golden Flyers are 4-6-2.

Senior Dominik Gabaj (Bratislava, Slovakia/Monroe Community College) and junior Oliver Janzen (Denver, CO/Rochester Stars) scored the Golden Flyers two goals. Janzen, along with sophomores Austin Romzek (Shelby Township, MI/Keystone Ice Miners) and J.R. Wojciechowski (Lapeer, MI/Rochester Junior Americans) and freshman James McDonald (Potsdam, NY/Vermont Lumberjacks) each added an assist. Freshman goalie Michael Tilford (Traverse City, MI/Connecticut Oilers) made 26 saves.
The Golden Flyers took a 1-0 lead early in the second period on Gabaj's rebound goal. The Red Dragons tied it in the third on Alonzi's second of the season, a deflection in front. Later in the third, Cortland took the lead on Lavallee's first as a Red Dragon, scoring on a slap shot from the right point. After a timeout by Nazareth, the Golden Flyers tied it on a final-minute goal by Janzen with an extra skater.
Cortland's next game is at Buffalo State against the Bengals in a SUNYAC matchup Friday at 7:00.
