CORTLAND, N.Y. – Seven different players scored goals as the Cortland women's ice hockey team skated to a 10-0 victory Friday night versus Post University in non-conference action at Alumni Arena.
Senior
Sydney Carlucci (Baldwinsville/Rochester Edge) led the Red Dragons (1-7) with three goals. Junior Kianna Gutenmann (Clifton Park/Adirondack Northstars) scored twice, and senior
Josie Fletcher (Wasilla, AK/Alaska All-Stars) and freshman
Miranda Kolb (Watertown/Syracuse Nationals) and
Emily King (Tonawanda/Buffalo Regals) each recorded one goal and one assist.
Sophomore
Stephanie Heresniak (Woolwich, Township, NJ/Philadelphia Jr. Flyers) and freshman
Carly Weigold (Mahopac/Millbrook Mustangs) netted one goal apiece. Senior
Richelle Skarbowski (Orchard Park/Univ. of New England) and sophomores
Charlie Calamari (Barrington, IL/Chicago Fury) and
Eva Kristof (Pleasanton, CA/San Jose Sharks) each collected two assists for Cortland.

Ashley Terry (Redford/Chazy Lady Flyers) and
Kelly Farinella (Marlton, NJ/New Jersey Rockets), junior
Emily Busta (Jackson Township, OH/Ohio Flames), sophomore
Samantha Pippin (Allen Park, MI/Team Detroit) and freshman
Emily Rose (Clayton/Syracuse Nationals) and
Mackenzie Sahrle (Spencerport/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles) chipped in with one assist apiece.
Farinella made eight saves in recording the shutout, while freshman goalie Samantha Griswold (Park City, UT/Ontario Hockey Academy) registered 65 saves for the Eagles (0-8).
Cortland opened up a 3-0 lead after the first period and added three more goals in the second period for a 6-0 advantage. The Red Dragons then netted four goals over the final 7:44 of the third period for the 10-0 final score.
Cortland hosts Hamilton College in a non-conference game tomorrow at 2 p.m.
