Moore Records Two ECAC Marks to Lead Cortland Women at Cornell

Midge Moore won the 100-meter dash (12.30) and was second in the 200-meter dash (25.81)
ITHACA, N.Y. - Midge Moore (Massapequa) recorded two of Cortland's four ECAC Division III Championship qualifying outings at the Cornell Upstate Challenge women's outdoor track and field meet.

Moore won the 100-meter dash in 12.30 seconds and was second in the 200-meter dash in 25.81 seconds. Also hitting ECAC marks were Dana Kupiec (Salem) with a win in the 400-meter hurdles (1:05.98) and Kayla Koelbel (Bradford, PA/Kings Park (NY)) with a prelim time of 15.46 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles. Koelbel placed fourth in the finals in 15.81 seconds.

Cortland recorded two other victories on the afternoon. Gabriella Czerw (Holbrook/Sachem North) won the high jump at 1.53 meters (5' 0.25"), while the 4x400-meter relay team of Kupiec, Kailyn Balzano (East Greenbush/Columbia), Melissa Emilio (Oneonta) and Jennifer Jelic (Oneonta) finished first with a time of 4:09.87.

Scored as separate dual meets, Cortland defeated Canisius (126-20), Colgate (116-54) and Siena (126-21), and lost to Cornell (96-81).

Cortland will compete at a meet hosted by Ithaca College on Tuesday, April 26, at 3:30 p.m.
