ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Cortland men's cross country team finished 12th out of 29 teams at the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational held at Genesee Valley Park Saturday morning. Mount Union won the event with 62 points. Rounding out the top five were Case Western (98), St. Lawrence (117), John Carroll (137) and RIT (193).
Senior
Mitch Ryan (Plattsburgh/Seton Catholic) was Cortland's top finisher, completing the 8,000-meter course in 26:42.2 for 14th place. Preston Myers of Mount Union won the race in 25:38.4.

Cabel McCandless (Lindenhurst) in 41st (27:19.7), freshman
Nolan Vest (Coram/Longwood) in 89th (28:08.5), junior
Aaron Granger (Delevan/Pioneer) in 93rd (28:11.8) and sophomore
Grant Boyd (Newburgh/Newburgh Free Academy) in 106th (28:24.3).
A total of 317 runners competed.
