The SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex "White" Field, home of the Red Dragon field hockey and track and field teams, among others, received a facelift during the summer of 2016.
The artficial turf playing surface was redone with a FieldTurf brand surface that has been groomed to be more conducive to field hockey play. The field is also lined for lacrosse and soccer, when needed.
A new track was also installed, including improved field event areas. The track and field teams will now have the capability to compete in the pole vault from four directions, and the horizontal jumping area has been drastically enlarged to provide a better training and competitive arena.
"As a coach, I'm thrilled that the College has invested the resources to renovate the facility into one of the best in New York State for training and competition," said Cortland track and field head coach
Steve Patrick.
