Four Cortland teams will be competing in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) postseason play this week. Conference tournament champions in each of the four sports earn automatic berths into the NCAA Division III playoffs.

Action begins on Tuesday (Oct. 31) when the women's volleyball team plays at Geneseo in a SUNYAC quarterfinal match. Start time is 6 p.m. Cortland is the sixth seed in the six-team tournament, while Geneseo is the third seed. The winner will face second-seeded Fredonia in the semifinals Friday at 4 p.m. at Brockport.

The Red Dragon women's soccer team advanced to the SUNYAC semifinals with a 3-0 win over Brockport last Saturday in Cortland. The victory moves the third-seeded Red Dragons into the semifinals Wednesday (Nov. 1) at 1 p.m. at second-seeded Plattsburgh. That winner will face either top-seeded Geneseo or fifth-seeded Oneonta in the championship game Saturday at 1 p.m. at the highest remaining seed.

Cortland's men's soccer team is the top seed in the SUNYAC playoffs. The defending league champion Red Dragons earned a bye into the semifinals and will host fifth-seeded Plattsburgh Wednesday (Nov. 1) at 1 p.m. The winner moves into the finals Saturday versus either Oneonta or Geneseo. If Cortland is victorious in the semifinals, it would host the title game Saturday at 6 p.m.

The Cortland field hockey team is the top seed in the four-team SUNYAC tournament and will host fourth-seeded Geneseo Wednesday (Nov. 1) at 2 p.m. The winner will play either Oneonta or New Paltz in the title game Saturday. If Cortland wins Wednesday, it would host the finals Saturday at 1 p.m.
