PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - Sarah Bonner scored twice to lead the second-seeded Plattsburgh women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory versus third-seeded Cortland in the semifinals of the SUNYAC Women's Soccer Tournament on Wednesday afternoon. The Red Dragons fell to 10-5-3 with the setback, while the Cardinals improved to 13-4-2 and move on to face top-seeded Geneseo in the final on Saturday, November 4.

Abby Miller (Andover) made seven saves for Cortland. Goalie Nicole Gibson also turned aside seven shots for Plattsburgh.
Madeline Saccocio added a goal for the Cardinals. Sarah Haight collected two assists, and Cait Gagen contributed one assist.
Plattsburgh took the lead in the 37h minute on Bonner's first goal of the game. Bonner made it a 2-0 score in the 76th minute before Saccocio completed the scoring in the 81st minute with her team-high 16th goal of the season.

Alannah O'Shea and Miller were named to the SUNYAC all-tournament team.
