CORTLAND, N.Y. - Freshman Dougie Elgstam's (Stockholm, Sweden/New Jersey Rockets) second goal of the game completed a Cortland comeback as the Red Dragons defeated Fredonia, 6-5, in SUNYAC action Saturday night at Alumni Arena. The Red Dragons finished the season 10-13-2 overall and 6-9-1 in the conference, while the Blue Devils fell to 13-10-2 and 7-8-1.

Elgstam added an assist, and junior Darren McCormick (Buffalo/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) and freshman Aidan Salerno (East Atlantic Beach/Soo Thunderbirds) each tallied three points on one goal and two assists for Cortland. Freshmen Nico Gonazalez (Buffalo/Toronto Jr. Canadiens) and Stefano Alonzi (Maple, ON/Burlington Cougars) netted one goal apiece.

Sophomore Mike Crowley (Buffalo Springfield Blues) registered three assists, freshman Tony DeVito (Chicago, IL/New Jersey Titans) collected two assists, and junior Tommy Nolan (Mahopac/Connecticut Oilers) and freshman Sean Perichak (Oakville, ON/Markham Royals) had one assist apiece. Junior goalie Drew Weigman (Annapolis, MD/Northern Cyclones) made 44 saves.

Sophomores Jon Carlson (Fort Frances, ON/Winkler Flyers) and Todd Schauss (Terryville, CT/Hartford Wolfpack) led Fredonia with a goal and an assist. Junior Samuel Wilbur (Saginaw, MI/Kirkland Lake Gold Miners) and sophomores Oskar Gerhardson (Ahus, Sweden/Wilkes Barrie-Scranton Knights) and Bobby Polachek (Kingston, PA/Trenton Golden Hawks) each netted a goal. Freshman goalie Anton Rosen (Ona, Sweden/Northwood Prep) stopped 33 shots.
