WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Eight top 10-finishes and five ECAC qualifiers highlighted Cortland's performance at Monmouth University Season Opener men's outdoor track and field meet.
Mitch Couch (Oneonta) had ECAC-qualifying finishes in three different events. Couch placed second in the hammer with a distance of 54.86 meters (180' 0"). In the discus, he came in eighth with a throw of 45.08 meters (147' 11"), and in the shot put he finished 10th with a distance of 15.12 meters (49' 7.25").
Matt Greenlaw (Warwick/Warwick Valley) tied for first in the pole vault with a finish of 4.35 meters (14' 3.25") that qualified him for the ECAC championships.
Mitch Ryan (Plattsburgh/Seton Catholic) placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing with an ECAC-qualifying time of 9:26.12.
Corey Fitchett (East Islip) tied for third in the pole vault with a finish of 4.20 meters (13' 9.25").
Austen Johnson (Jamestown) placed seventh in the 400-meter hurdles (56.96).
Enoch Jemmott (Brooklyn/South Shore) placed eighth in the 400-meter dash (50.18) and 11th in the 200-meter dash (22.72).

Cortland returns to action Friday-Saturday, April 7-8, at the Princeton Sam Howell in Princeton, N.J., and Saturday, April 8 at the Naz/Roc City Classic in Rochester.
