KUTZTOWN, PA. – Senior
Jack Flood (Blue Point/Bayport-Blue Point) smashed his own school record in the decathlon and combined with senior
Connor Christopherson (Morrisonville/Saranac) to earn the top two spots in a field of 23 competitors at the Kutztown University Mondschein Multi.
Sophomore
Brent DiVittorio (Brewster) also represented the Red Dragons and finished in eighth place. The two-day event was held at Kutztown's Andre Reed Stadium. The women's heptathlon was also conducted at the meet, but Cortland did not have anyone entered.
Flood won with a score of 7,021 points, eclipsing his own school mark of 6,686 points set last season. Christopherson also broke the previous school mark with his second-place score of 6,831 points. Flood and Christopherson currently rank first and second nationally in Division III. DiVittorio posted a score of 6,055 points.
