Cortland registered nine ECAC-qualifying efforts at three women's outdoor track and field meets over the weekend. The Red Dragons sent competitors to the Princeton Sam Howell Invitational Friday and Saturday, The College of New Jersey Invitational Saturday, and the Roc City Classic at Nazareth College Sunday.

At the TCNJ meet, Dana Kupiec (Salem) notched ECAC performances with her victory in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.80) and her seventh-place finish in the 200-meter dash (25.88). She ranks 20th nationally in Division III in the 400-meter hurdles. Midge Moore (Massapequa) tied for fourth in the 100-meter dash (12.49) and Raychael Goldstein (Oceanside) finished fifth in the triple jump (10.96 meters/35' 11.5").

Four additional ECAC performances came at Princeton. Allison Schumann (North Salem) finished eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11:12.22, followed by Eliza Nichols (Smithtown/Smithtown West) in 12th place in 11:48.75. Mary Baughman (Rush/Rush-Henrietta) finished 19th in the 5,000 meters (17:32.37), with Megan Wagner (Niskayuna) placing 35th (18:11.71). Schumann presently ranks 11th nationally in the steeplechase and Baughman's effort ranks 22nd nationally in the 5,000 meters.

Sara Billings (Gansevoort/South Glens Falls) finished second in the steeplechase in Rochester with an ECAC time of 11:50.31.

Cortland will return to action at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic Friday and Saturday, April 14-15, and is also scheduled to compete earlier in the week at the Kutztown Mondschein Multi-Event meet.
