ITHACA, N.Y. – Junior Migell Ormsby (Kingston, Jamaica/DeWitt Clinton) scored a goal in his third straight game as the nationally 13th-ranked Cortland men's soccer team defeated Ithaca College, 1-0, on the road Wednesday afternoon. The Red Dragons improved to 3-0 on the season, while the Bombers suffered their first loss and fell to 2-1.
Sophomore
Cam LaVallee (Schenectady/Schalmont) registered an assist on Ormsby's goal, and senior goalie
Connor Young (Bayport/Bayport-Bluepoint) made six saves in recording his second consecutive shutout. Goalie Max Lichtenstein turned aside four shots for Ithaca.
After a scoreless first half, Ormsby netted the game winner in the 79th minute. LaVallee worked himself free on the left side of the box, but Lichtenstein deflected his attempted shot.
