CORTLAND, N.Y. –
Marissa Kordal (Eden) won three individual events and anchored a winning relay as Cortland defeated visiting New Paltz, 162-126, in women's dual meet action.
Kordal won the 200-yard butterfly (2:16.86), 100-yard butterfly (1:01.53) and 200-yard individual medley (2:19.22).
Kelly Davey (Plattsburgh) was victorious in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.06) and 500-yard freestyle (5:27.22), and
Heidi Simpfenderfer (Poughkeepsie/Roy C. Ketcham) won the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:11.54).

Natalie Johnson(Canandaigua/Marcus Whitman), Davey and Kordal won the 400-yard freestyle relay to end the meet in 3:45.47.
Jacqueline Lang (Middletown/Pine Bush) was the winner in both diving events with 200.62 points on the 3-meter board and 190.05 points on the 1-meter board.
Simpfenderfer finished second in both the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.65) and 100-yard freestyle (56.09),
Alana Szewczyk (South Wales/Holland) was runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.02) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:41.71), and
Jasmine Elmassry (Queens/Francis Lewis) earned second-place finishes in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:50.18) and 200-yard butterfly (2:33.16).
Halle King (Auburn/Skaneateles) completed the sweep of the top three spots in the 1,000 free with her third-place time of 11:55.63.
Other Cortland runners-up included: Johnson in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.11);
Becca Kanoza (Syracuse/West Genesee) in the 200-yard individual medley (2:23.77);
Lauren McBrinn (Suffern/Paramus Catholic (NJ)) in the 500-yard freestyle (5:46.59); and Johnson, Szewczyk, Kanoza and
Lily Miller (Buffalo/Starpoint) in the 200-yard medley relay (1:56.90). Also,
Rachel Pinsky (West Hartford, CT/Hall) placed second in both diving events- 180.75 points on 3-meter and 172.51 points on 1-meter.
Cortland will host Oswego on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 4 p.m.
