CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The nationally sixth-ranked Cortland men's soccer team defeated Hartwick College, 6-0, in non-conference action Tuesday night behind the efforts of juniors Sean Kelly (Coram/Newfield) and Jake Keller (Wappingers Falls/Roy C. Ketcham). The Red Dragons closed their regular season with their seventh consecutive victory, improving to 15-1-2 overall. The Hawks fell to 0-12 in their first season at the Div. III level after transitioning from Div. I.
 
Although he made just one save in the game, Kelly set the program single-season record with his 12th shutout of the campaign, breaking a tie with Scott Manning and Charlie Moore. Keller totaled seven points on his first career hat trick and an assist, pushing him to 31 points on the season.

Plenty of Cortland players aided in the offense as the Red Dragons outshot the Hawks, 35-2, in the game. Senior Migell Ormsby (Kingston, Jamaica/DeWitt Clinton) netted a pair of goals, while junior Michael Miner (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) scored his first goal of the season. Junior Miguel Tunas (Carmel/North Salem) recorded two assists, and junior Sam Fuller (Liverpool) and sophomore Eli Yasuna (Sherborn, MA/Dover-Sherborn) each collected an assist.

Freshman goalie Aidan Wholihan (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's Annapolis) registered eight saves for Hartwick. Freshman Jimmy Noel (Cap Haitian, Haiti/Baldwin (NY) recorded the Hawks' lone shot on goal.

The Red Dragons took a 4-0 lead into the half. Keller was involved in the first three goals, scoring on a loose ball in front in the 11th minute, assisting Ormsby's goal under the cross bar in the 12th minute and knocking in a header off a Tunas corner kick in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute, Noel took a 15-yard shot from the right side of the box that Kelly smothered. Miner finished the first-half scoring in the 32nd minute when he one-timed a shot from deep in the box after Tunas beat several defenders around the left side.

Ormsby tallied his second goal of the night in the 54th minute, running onto a through ball from Yasuna and beating Wholihan with a low shot. Keller completed his night in the 56th minute, cleaning up with a rebound goal after Fuller's initial shot was denied by Wholihan.
