BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Cortland women's volleyball team lost two matches in SUNYAC play, hosted by Buffalo State, falling in three sets to Geneseo and in four sets to three-time defending league champion Brockport.
Cortland (8-14, 2-4 SUNYAC) will travel to Elmira for a non-league dual match 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Red Dragons' final three SUNYAC matches will be Oct. 19-20 versus Oneonta, Oswego and Potsdam on a neutral court at Brockport.
Geneseo defeated Cortland to open Saturday's action 25-17, 25-12, 25-15.
Nadia Moore (Durham, NC/Durham School of the Arts) led the Red Dragons with six kills,

Gabby Amelio (Pine Bush) contributed 15 assists and nine digs.
Grace Cergol led Geneseo (13-6, 5-0 SUNYAC) with 11 kills and Emily Ast had 24 assists.
Cortland trailed 9-3 in the first set but fought back to as close as 18-15 before Geneseo scored six of the next seven points. The Knights took control of the second set early with a 15-3 opening run, and they used a 4-0 run to turn a 14-10 lead into an 18-10 advantage in the third set.
Brockport won the first two sets versus the Red Dragons, 25-23 and 25-17, but Cortland came back to win the third set, 25-20. The Golden Eagles (11-8, 4-2 SUNYAC), however, won the fourth set 25-17.
Anderson led Cortland with 11 kills and only two errors in 17 attempts for a .529 attack percentage.
Nicole Van Pelt (Montgomery/Valley Central) added nine kills,
Bridgette Moran (Massapequa Park/St. John the Baptist) finished with seven kills and four blocks, and Amelio had 31 assists and 10 digs. Cote led the team with 21 digs, while Taylor Conzen (Bohemia/Connetquot), seeing her first action since Sept. 8 coming off an injury, recorded four kills versus Geneseo and five against Brockport.
Laiken Fox led Brockport with 20 kills and a .302 attack percentage. Meaghan Mastro and Lindsey Luce had 10 kills each and Kerri McHale handed out 46 assists.
Cortland trailed 23-20 in the first set before a Brockport error, an Amelio block and another Golden Eagle error tied the score at 23. Brockport won the set, however, after kills by Luce and Mastro. Cortland cut a 22-13 deficit in the second set to 22-17 before Brockport scored the final three points.
The Red Dragons won the third set after scoring the final three points. Leading 22-20, Cortland used a Brockport service error, a block by Moran and Moore, and a kill by Van Pelt to force a fourth set. In that fourth frame, Cortland was within 15-13 after an Anderson kill, but Brockport scored the next four points and never looked back.
