CORTLAND, N.Y. - Cortland won nine individual events and a relay as the Red Dragons defeated visiting Buffalo State, 155-111, in men's swimming and diving dual meet action.
Junior
Nick Galeto (West Islip) and freshman
Hunter Bernhardt (Groton) each picked up two wins. Galeto took top honors in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:31.36) and 100-yard backstroke (54.14). Bernhardt won the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.01) and had the meet's best time in the 400-yard individual medley (4:34.14) as an exhibition entry.
Junior
Noah Farmer (New Hartford) won the 50-yard breaststroke (29.31) and was second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.50). Sophomore
Dylan Cornelia (Deer Park) won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.80) and was second in the 50-yard breaststroke (29.33). Sophomore
Alex Fisher (Smithtown/Hauppauge) helped Cortland to a top-three sweep in both events with third-place time of 1:04.99 in the 100 breast and 29.77 in the 50 breast.

Tim Rokos (Duanesburg) notched a win in the 50-yard backstroke (26.80), senior
Eric Kohlhoff (West Islip) won the 50-yard freestyle (22.46) and sophomore
Jason Boyko (Poughkeepsie/Our Lady of Lourdes) finished first in the 100-yard freestyle (50.32).
Cortland took the top two spots in the 400-yard medley relay. Galeto, Farmer, sophomore
Billy Donlevy (Bayside/Holy Cross) and Boyko won in 3:43.20, followed by junior
Thomas Ryan (Long Beach), Cornelia, senior
Bailey Eigbrett (Avon) and Kohlhoff in 3:45.76.
Donlevy placed second in both the 100-yard butterfly (56.07) and 50-yard butterfly (25.20), the latter as an exhibition entry. Eigbrett finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:21.78) and junior
John Severs (Suffern) was second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:48.25).
Cortland earned the top three spots in the 50-yard backstroke, with Rokos being followed by freshman
Joshua Chamak (New City/Clarkstown North) in second (27.01) and Ryan in third (27.28). Sophomore
Patrick Conway (Wantagh/Kellenberg Memorial) picked up second-place points in both 1-meter (225.50 points) and 3-meter (223.95 points) diving, and the 400-yard freestyle relay of junior
Pat Calhoun (Oneonta), Fisher, freshman
Ian Murray (Moravia/Southern Cayuga) and sophomore
Jann Santiago (San Juan, PR/Canandaigua Academy (NY)) finished in second place (3:28.81) as an exhibition entry.
Cortland will compete at the Hamilton Invitational November 30 and December 1.
