CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Cortland women's gymnastics team set a school record on floor exercise and also posted season bests for vault and overall team score in a 192.925-190.80 home dual loss to Brockport.

Cortland won vault with a 47.85 and tied for first on beam with a 48.15, its second-best effort in that event this year. The 190.80 team score is the fifth best in school history.

Emma Schulz (Poughquag/Arlington) finished second on floor with a 9.875 to tie for second in the event in school history with Colleen Shanahan (2003-04 season). The school record is 9.90 by Courtney Mangini from the 2013-14 season. Schulz also tied for third on balance beam with a 9.70.

Julie Giardina (Wantagh) posted a fourth-place score of 9.825 on floor that is now tied for seventh best in the school record book. Lily Szafranski (Williamsville/Williamsville South) tied for fifth on floor with a career-high 9.80 and placed third on vault with a 9.625.
