ITHACA, N.Y. – Harley Buczkowski (Holland Patent) broke her own school record in the weight throw as part of five Cortland top-10 finishes at the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational and Multi women's indoor track and field meet.

Buczkowski finished second out of 57 competitors in the weight throw with a distance of 16.65 meters (54' 7.5"), breaking her school record that she established just a week ago. She currently ranks 13th nationally in Division III and second in the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC). Buczkowski also finished 11th of 51 in the shot put at 10.66 meters (34' 11.75").

Coach's Corner – Comments from Head Coach Steve Patrick on the men's and women's meets:

I'd like to really comment on the depth of our heptathletes. Obviously Brent DiVittorio did quite well, but Zach Kashmer had an exceptional weekend, including a huge performance in long jump. For the women, Nicole Wise also had a really strong weekend in the pentathlon! We also saw some great depth in the performances from our top four guys in the 5k, as well as both of our men's 4x400 relays. Sara Billings had a pretty exceptional mile, and Dana Messina put down a great time in the 200. I'd also like to make mention Gabi Ghanime and Matt DeLorenzo, who both had new personal records in the pole vault. The 200-3,000 meter folks are excited for the trip to run at Boston University next weekend, and we're fortunate to have another great opportunity to compete in the field events at Cornell next Sunday.
