ITHACA, N.Y. – Cortland posted a season-high team score as well as season bests in three different events in a 192.15-184.80 dual-meet loss at Division I Cornell University. The Red Dragons' team score consisted of season highs on balance beam (46.35) and floor exercise (47.60).

Emma Schulz (Poughquag/Arlington) earned top-four finishes in three events. She tied for first on balance beam with a 9.775, was third on floor exercise with a 9.75 and finished fourth on vault with a 9.50. Her beam and floor scores were season bests. Rachel Filipski (Lancaster) won vault with a 9.60 and finished fourth on floor exercise with a season-best 9.70.

Emily Speciale (San Antonio, TX/James Madison) recorded a career-best 9.55 on uneven bars and finished fifth as Cortland's top performer in the event. Vivian Trevisani (Colchester, VT) was seventh on vault (9.325) and tied for seventh on uneven bars, along with teammates Megan Hanley (Lynbrook/Malverne) and Kamryn Rodriguez (Minisink/Minisink Valley), with an 8.825. Rodriguez also tied for seventh on floor with a 9.55.

Cortland had three all-around competitors at the meet. Schulz finished first with a season-best 37.625. Rodriguez, in her first collegiate all-around, was second with a 36.20, and Hanley placed third with a 35.85.

Cornell's Christina Luniewicz won uneven bars with a 9.825 and Samantha Henry won floor with a 9.825. Malia Mackey tied Schulz on beam with a 9.775.

Cortland will be idle next week and will host a tri-meet with Ursinus College and Division II West Chester University on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 11 a.m.
