Coach's Corner - Comments from Cortland Head Coach Steve Patrick:
Thankfully the rain held off for us, and for the most part we were dry. This course is pretty funny – it is always slow, and the ground was very soft today so the times aren't usually stellar.
We're pleased with how this afternoon went. While most of our cross country team is already decided, this did give a few folks the chance to earn their spot into the conference meet. Having some competition to earn that spot is always a good thing! For those that won't make the SUNYAC meet, it is a great opportunity to close out the season.
This is also the chance for our 400 runners and multi-eventers that are involved with cross country the opportunity to get a meet in – for the most part those folks had some really nice efforts!
We're looking forward to the SUNYAC Championships next Saturday at the Hudson Valley SPORTSDOME, as well as the excitement that comes around here as the track and field season begins in earnest!
