BUFFALO, N.Y. – Four different players scored goals as the Cortland men's hockey team earned a 4-2 victory at Buffalo St. Saturday night in SUNYAC action. The Red Dragons improved to 4-7 overall and 3-6 in the conference with the win, while the Bengals fell to 5-5 and 3-3.

Senior Sean Perichak (Oakville, ON/Markham Royals) led Cortland with one goal and two assists. Junior Logan Blaser (Aurora, ON/Brockville Braves) tallied one goal and one assist, and junior Alex Storjohann (Phoenix, AZ/Kirkland Lake) and sophomore Dorian Overland (Kingston, ON/Kingston Voyageurs) each netted a goal. Senior Douglas Elgstam (Stockholm, Sweden/New Jersey Rockets) recorded two assists, and senior Martin Lavallee (Goose Bay. NL/Nepean Raiders) and freshman Nick Grupp (Depew/Brantford 99ers) collected one assist apiece. Senior goalie Nick Modica (Suffern/New Jersey Hitmen) turned aside 31 shots.

Vadim Vasjonkin recorded one goal and one assist, and Sam Maddox added a goal for Buffalo St. Nikita Kozyrev collected two assists, and Zach Remers contributed one assist. Goalie Connor Minch made 16 saves.

Storjohann gave Cortland a 1-0 lead just 55 seconds into the game with his first goal of the season. Overland's first goal of the campaign at 16:56 of the first period put Cortland ahead 2-10. Vasjonkin scored at 3:32 of the second period to cut the Red Dragons' lead to 2-1, but Perichak netted his second goal of the season just under six minutes later to make it a 3-1 score.

Maddox brought the Bengals to within 3-2 with his goal at 8:15 of the third period. Buffalo St. The Bengals pulled Minch for an extra skater with just over two minutes remaining, but Blaser sealed the win with an empty-net goal just before the final horn.
