GENESEO, N.Y. – The Brockport women's lacrosse team went on a 6-0 run in the second half to erase a one-goal deficit and went on to a 17-12 win against nationally 20th-ranked Cortland Friday afternoon in the semifinals of the SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament hosted by Geneseo. The Red Dragons, who had won 20 consecutive conference tournament titles, fell to 11-6 with the loss, while the Golden Eagles improved to 14-4 and meet Geneseo in the title game on Saturday.

Carly Stone (Syracuse/Jamesville-DeWitt) led Cortland with three goals and one assist. Freshman

Catie Fleming (Farmingdale) netted one goal apiece. Sophomore

Annie Casey (Bay Shore) started in goal, making three saves in 54:36 before giving way to sophomore
Paige Potter (Cortland), who did not stop a shot over the final 5:24. Stone won six draw controls, Meager secured four draws and Hoeffner recorded three ground balls.
Heather Conklin paced Brockport with seven goals. Chloe Kurst tallied four goals and two assists, Sara Grapevine recorded two goals and four assists and Victoria Thompson and Jade Williams each netted a pair of goals.
Goalie Morgan Elmer registered four saves. Conklin won 10 draws, and Thompson and Hannah Cullen each caused two turnovers.
The first half of the opening 30 minutes of play was a tightly contested contest as Cortland held a 4-3 lead at the 16:30 mark. Brockport then ran together five straight goals to build an 8-4 advantage with 5:55 to play before the half. The Red Dragons closed the first half with three of four goals and trailed 9-7 at the break.
Yonge, Stone and Fleming opened the second half of play with consecutive goals to give Cortland a 10-9 lead with 25:55 on the clock. Brockport answered with the decisive six-goal run as Thompson and Conklin each scored twice to make it a 15-10 score at the 6:09 mark. Meager stopped the streak with her goal at 5:18, but the Golden Eagles scored two of the game's three final goals to secure the 17-12 win.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Stone was named to the All-Tournament Team.
