WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. – Cortland had seven wrestlers compete at the non-team scoring Williams College Open. The one-day tournament Sunday featured competitors from eight colleges plus other clubs along with unattached entrants.

Ryan Burgbacher (Medford/Patchogue-Medford) finished in fourth place at 149 pounds with a 2-2 record. He earned a win before falling in the semifinals, then recorded another decision before dropping a 5-3 verdict in the third-place match.

Alex Leone (North Salem/Carmel) went 3-2 at 165 pounds with a pin and two decisions. Three other Red Dragons registered 2-2 records at the event – both Ben Lloyd (Woodbridge, VA/Forest Park) and Pat Owens (Monticello) at 125 pounds and Sean Dall (Greenlawn/Harborfields) at 285 pounds. Both of Dall's wins came via pin, as did one of Lloyd's.

Cortland returns to action at the 16-team Budd Whitehill Naitonal Duals Friday and Saturday at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa.
