Ashley Zachgo finished 16th on the 3-meter board one day after her 10th-place effort in the 1-meter competition
ITHACA, N.Y. – Sophomore Taylor Williams (Slate Hill/Minisink Valley) turned in a fourth-place performance and freshman Ashley Zachgo (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) was 16th in a field of 25 divers on the 3-meter board during the second and final day of competition at the NCAA Division III Region 4 (Northeast/South) Women's Diving Regional.

Williams finished with a score of 443.15 points and Zachgo posted a score of 388.60 points. Williams had already locked in one of the 10 national qualifying spots from the regional with her victory on the 1-meter board Friday. Geneseo's Samantha Reichman won the 3-meter competition (463.75 points).

The NCAA will officially announce the national qualifiers on Monday. The NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships will be held March 18-21 in Greensboro, N.C.

Williams scored higher than 40 points on four straight dives from the fifth through eighth round, and after posting a 39.15 on her ninth dive she was in first place at 365.40 points. Her 10th dive, however, netted only 33.35 points, although she bounced back with 44.40 points on her last attempt to grab fourth place.

Zachgo's 11 dives included three scores over 40 points and another four of at least 34 points.
