Cortland men's cross country runners
Chad Dunham (Central Square/Paul V. Moore),
Cabel McCandless (Lindenhurst) and
Nolan Vest (Coram/Longwood) and women's cross country runner
Sam Himes (Amherst/Sweet Home) have selected to the 2019 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Cross Country All-Academic Team.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a converted 4.0 scale. They also have to had finished in the top 25 percent of the NCAA regional qualifying race.
McCandless finished 32nd, Vest was 60th and Dunham placed 67th out of 300 runners at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Atlantic Regional last November. All three were seniors last fall. Himes, a junior, earned all-region honors with a 33rd place finish out of 274 runners at the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Atlantic Regional.
