Box Score PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - Bennett Stockdale scored his second goal of the game with 1:08 remaining in overtime to lift the Plattsburgh men's hockey team to a 6-5 come-from-behind win over Cortland Friday night in the SUNYAC opener for both teams.

Senior Ethan Homitz (Allison Park, PA/New Hampshire Monarchs) led the Red Dragons (1-1) with a goal and two assists. Sophomore Nate Berke (Williamsville/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) and freshmen Johnny Facchini (Succasunna, NJ/PAL Junior Islanders) and Domenic Settimo (East Meadow/PAL Junior Islanders) each tallied a goal and an assist. Sophomore Sutter Donegan (Cicero/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) added a goal, graduate student Alex Storjohann (Phoenix, AZ/Kirkland Lake) and junior Nick Grupp (Depew/Brantford 99ers) collected two assists apiece and sophomore Cameron Knowlton (Kenai, AK/Charlotte Rush) contributed an assist. Junior goalie Luca Durante (Brampton, ON/Aurora Tigers) made 43 saves.

Joey Mancuso paced the Cardinal (2-1) offense with a hat trick. Jake Lanyi netted a goal, Thomas Maia, Matt Araujo and Michael Hale each collected two assists, while four others chipped in with an assist. Goalie Anthony Del Tufo turned aside 39 shots.

Cortland built a 5-3 lead early into the third period on the strength of four power-play goals before the Cardinals staged their comeback with goals at 11:48 and 17:49 of the third period to tie the game and send it to overtime. In the five-minute extra period with the teams skating three aside, Stockdale, who tied the game at 5-5, netted the game winner at the 3:52 mark to give Plattsburgh the 6-5 win.
