Hannah Lorenzen (Stony Brook/Ward Melville) scored a Cortland NCAA playoff-record 10 goals and added an assist for 11 points, and senior
Cecilia Procopio (Syracuse/West Genesee) became the 49th player in program history to surpass 100 career points as the nationally 13th-ranked Cortland women's lacrosse team defeated host Rhodes College, 23-12, Sunday afternoon in the second round of the NCAA Div. III playoffs.
The Red Dragons won their 14th straight game in improving to 14-1 on the season and advanced to the third round for a matchup with 10th-ranked and undefeated Messiah College in Colby, Maine, next Saturday at 2 p.m. The Lynx ended the season at 14-1.
Lorenzen's 10 goals tied her for the second-most in a game in Cortland history and made her the 31st player in program history to score 100 career goals. Procopio, who recorded one goal and four assists, ranks 10th in school history with her 78 assists, and her 35 assists this season are 12th-most in a single season.

Paige Potter (Cortland) turned aside 10 shots for the Red Dragons. Meager won a career-high 15 draw controls, senior
Kayla Sweeney (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) secured three draw controls, and senior
Kayla Petre (Hauppauge) caused three turnovers and collected two ground balls.
Baylee Barker led the Lynx with four goals and 11 draws. Avery Burke tallied three goals and an assist. Carina Wesker and Payton Bennett each scored twice, Chloe Parker netted a goal and Emily Bruner had two assists.
Goalie Emma Bradley made six saves. Julia Dalessandro caused three turnovers and scooped up two ground balls, while Emma Norris and Barker each recorded two ground balls.
Rhodes jumped out to a 2-0 lead just 1:30 into the game on goals from Burke and Wesker. Lorenzen and Keech evened the game at 2-2 with Procopio picking up her 100th career point on the Keech goal, before Barker gave Rhodes its last lead of the game with the first of her four goals at 21:24. Lorenzen then buried three straight goals in just over a three-minute span to put Cortland ahead for good at 5-3. Wesker cut the Cortland lead to 5-4, but Lorenzen wrapped a pair of goals around Cashman's score and the Red Dragons led, 8-4.
The first-half goals kept coming as the Lynx scored two of the next three and trailed 9-6 with 6:50 left in the half. Lorenzen, Keech and Cashman each found the back of the net to push Cortland's lead to 12-6. Rhodes, however, stayed in the game with three of the final five goals of the half to make it 14-9 at the break.
The Red Dragons seized control of the game by scoring the first four goals of the second half in less than five minutes to build an 18-9 lead. Meduski scored twice and Meager and Tiso added goals. Barker stopped the run with her goal at 24:34, but Cortland ran together another four goals from four different players to increase its lead to 22-10 with 16:37 to play. Bennett and Parker then netted goals for Rhodes, and Lorenzen notched her 10th of the game with 5:00 remaining for the 23-12 final.
