CAMDEN, N.J. -- The Cortland men's soccer team scored a pair of first-half goals in earning a 2-0 victory against Stockton University Saturday afternoon in day one of the Rutgers-Camden Cialella Soccer Classic. The Red Dragons improved to 2-1-1 on the season. The Ospreys fell to 2-3.

Blake Aronson (Huntington Station/Walt Whitman) and senior
Mikey Lanzetta (Somers) each scored a goal for Cortland, and junior
Mike Hunsucker (Smithtown/Smithtown West) collected an assist.
Junior goalie
Braden Melveney (Syracuse/Cicero-North Syracuse) made one save in posting his second shutout of the season for the Red Dragons. Goalie Dino Gromitsaris registered three saves for Stockton.
Aronson gave Cortland a 1-0 lead just 2:41 into the match when he converted a shot in the box on a loose ball after a cross from the corner. Lanzetta made it a 2-0 score in the 44th minute off an assist from Hunsucker.
In the second half, Cortland was never threatened as Stockton's two shots never made on goal and the Red Dragons claimed the 2-0 win.
