ITHACA, N.Y. – Samantha Nothnagel (Vail, CO/Eagle Valley) registered a career best on balance beam to highlight Cortland's performances at a quad meet hosted by Division I Cornell University that also featured Brockport and Ithaca.
 
Nothnagel tied for sixth place on beam with a 9.75. She was also 15th on vault with a 9.275. Delaney Brown (Peru), competing in the all-around for the first time, compiled a combined score of 36.50 that included a 9.475 on vault (11th) and a season/career high 9.40 on floor exercise (18th).
 
Kamryn Rodriguez (Middletown/Minisink Valley) placed 10th on floor with a 9.675 and Zoe Potamianos (Jamesville/Jamesville-DeWitt) tied for 15th on floor with a 9.45 in addition to recording a career-best 9.15 on vault.
 
Rianna Adams (South Setauket/Ward Melville) and Bryanna DeAngelis (Miller Place) each posted season/career highs in event – Adams with a tie of her best on bars at 9.30 (14th) and DeAngelis with her best on beam at 9.55 (14th). Bianca Carr (Tappan/Tappan Zee) recorded a season best on bars with a 9.15 (17th) and Abby Bang (Montgomery, MA/Gateway Regional) finished 14th on vault with a 9.325.
 
Brockport won the team title with a score of 192.425, followed by Cornell (191.60), Ithaca (190.825) and Cortland (181.90). Brockport's Sydney Schumaker won vault (9.80), Ithaca's Zoe Kyriakopoulous and Brockport's Gabbi Gare tied for first on bars (9.775), Cornell's Victoria DeMeo won beam (9.825), Brockport's Alexi Castellaneta and Cornell's Calista Brady tied for first on floor (9.90), and Cornell's Sydney Beers won the all-around (38.80).
 
Cortland will host Ithaca Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in a dual meet as part of the Rumble & Tumble event in conjunction with Cortland's wrestling team also hosting the Bombers (wrestling scheduled for 7 p.m. start).

Continuing on with an improvement in the team score, we had some struggles today, but the fire is there. This team wants to succeed and has all of the talent to, as we start the toughest week of season with three meets. Senior Samantha Nothnagel reached a career high on balance beam with a solid and powerful routine earning her a 9.75! Kamryn rocked another eye catching floor routine for a 9.675, freshman Bryanna pushed through to a solid 9.55 on beam and sophomore Delaney Brown competed in her first all-around meet ending with a beautiful vault and earning the highest vault score of a 9.475. Delaney's skill upgrades and drive needs to be recognized!
