ITHACA, N.Y. – Delaney Brown (Peru) won the all-around and Kamryn Rodriguez (Middletown/Minisink Valley) tied for second on floor exercise to highlight Cortland's performances at Ithaca's College Harriet Marranca Invitational.
 
Brown posted an all-around score of 35.65, which included a tie for 10th place on vault with a 9.375 along with a 9.225 on floor exercise.
 
Rodriguez tied for second on floor with a 9.725 and was seventh on balance beam with a 9.65. Abby Bang (Montgomery, MA/Gateway Regional) finished fourth on vault with a 9.55.
 
Other Red Dragon highlights included a seventh-place finish by Bianca Carr (Tappan/Tappan Zee) on uneven bars with a 9.00, an eighth-place showing by Samantha Nothnagel (Vail, CO/Eagle Valley) on uneven bars (8.90), and a 10th-place effort by Zoe Potamianos (Jamesville/Jamesville-DeWitt) on floor exercise (season/career high 9.525).
 
Brockport won the three-team meet with a score of 191.15, followed by Ithaca at 185.125 and Cortland at 180.10. The Golden Eagles' Sydney Schumaker won vault with a 9.70 and tied for first on beam with her teammate Natalie Galioto with a 9.80. Brockport also had the top scores on bars (Taylor Bushey, 9.675) and floor (Alexis Castellaneta, 9.825).
 
Cortland will host a tri-meet with Brockport and Ithaca on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m.

Scores were tight tonight and some mistakes were made. We spoke a lot about how this is the toughest week of the year with three meets, mentally and physically. We will be back in the gym tomorrow to clean up details and work on the little things to get ready for a strong showing at our back to back home meets. There's nothing like a home crowd to build momentum into the end of season!
