MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Freshman
Mia Hlasnick (Olean/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles) scored her 10th goal of the season on the power play with 5:08 remaining in regulation to lift the Cortland women's ice hockey team to a 2-1 victory at Morrisville Tuesday afternoon in NEWHL play at the Morrisville IcePlex. The Red Dragons improved to 14-4-1 overall and 9-4-1 in the league. The Mustangs dropped to 5-14-1 and 3-11-1.

Nicole Tulowiecki (Phoenix/Syracuse Nationals) also scored a goal for Cortland, the first of her career. Senior

Pippy Pritchard scored for Morrisville with Rhys Brown assisting. Goalie Emma Plett registered 48 saves.
Tulowiecki gave the Red Dragons a 1-0 lead at 3:31 of the opening period, flipping a backhand shot past Plett from the left side. After the teams played a scoreless second period, Pritchard tied the game with her sixth goal of the season just 57 seconds into the third period. Hlasnick scored the game winner on the power play at 14:52. The Mustangs took a penalty with 2:54 on the clock, and, although successfully denying Cortland from scoring on the power play, they were unable to pull Plett for an extra skater as the Red Dragons held on for the 2-1 win.
