CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland women's ice hockey team skated to a 4-0 victory versus Buffalo St. Saturday afternoon in NEWHL action at Alumni Arena. The Red Dragons improved to 11-3 overall and 8-2 in the conference. The Bengals dropped to 4-12 and 0-11.

Jillian Hlasnick (Olean/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles) recorded a goal and an assist, and sophomore
Mia Hlasnick (Olean/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles) notched a goal. Sophomore
Natalie O'Brien (Buffalo/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles) registered two assists, while graduate students
Johna Ezzard (Vienna, VA/Dallas Stars Elite) and
Jayden Kelley (East Berne/CP Dynamo), senior

Ainsley Delacourt (Stoney Creek, ON/Brampton Canadettes) each picked up an assist.
Hamid needed to make just six saves for the Red Dragons to register her second consecutive shutout. Sophomore goalie Jessica Auge (Laingsburg, MI/Honeybaked Detroit) turned aside 52 shots for Buffalo St.
Jillian Hlasnick gave Cortland a 1-0 lead on the power play at 8:38 of the opening period with her sixth goal of the season. Hlasnick picked up the puck deep in Cortland's defensive zone, made a rink-length rush down the left boards and scored deep on the left side. Gaffney's first goal of the game on a rebound in front at 16:25 put the Red Dragons up, 2-0, after one period.
Gaffney scored on a loose puck in front with 1:17 left in the second period, and
Mia Hlasnick netted her team-high eighth goal of the season on a backhand in front at 18:03 of the third period to complete the scoring for the 4-0 final.
