CANTON, N.Y. – The nationally 11th-ranked Cortland women's ice hockey team scored a goal in each period in earning a 3-0 victory at Canton Friday night in SUNYAC action. The Red Dragons improved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference. The Kangaroos dropped to 3-2 and 1-2.

Kait Bourgeois (Cobden, ON/Ottawa Thunder) and junior
Mia Hlasnick (Olean/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles) each collected an assist.

Molly Goergen (Eden Prairie, MN/Eden Prairie H.S.) turned aside a career-high 54 shots for the Red Dragons. Goalie Molly Lenihan registered 21 saves for Canton.
Aneborn gave Cortland a 1-0 lead at 16:52 of the first period with a rebound goal while the Red Dragons were skating with a two-player advantage.
Jillian Hlasnick made it a 2-0 score at 11:23 of the second period when she one-timed a pass from
Mia Hlasnick at the top of the crease after a Lenihan save on Bourgeois' shot from the point. McCabe completed the scoring 4:43 into the third period with a wrist shot from the left circle on the power play for the 3-0 final.
