GENESEO, N.Y. – The nationally seventh-ranked Geneseo men's hockey team scored three first-period goals and held off a Cortland comeback to earn a 3-2 victory Friday night in SUNYAC action. The Red Dragons dropped to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the conference. The Knights improved to 6-1 and 3-1.

Alex Wilkins led Geneseo with a goal and an assist. Tyson Gilmoure and Alex Dameski added goals, while Cooper Fensterstock, Peter Morgan, Mitch Machiltt and Sterling Wolters chipped in with one assist apiece. Goalie Adam Harris made 37 saves.
The Knights jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening period on a power-play goal and two even-strength scores. Hildreth made it a 3-1 game with a power-play goal at 18:07 of the second period, and Facchini pulled Cortland to within 3-2 at 12:35 of the third period. The Red Dragons pulled Mobley late for an extra skater but couldn't score the equalizer as Geneseo held on for the 3-2 win.
