Cortland field hockey head coach Tiffany Hubbard and assistant coaches Sue Carlin and Jessica Welsh have been selected as the 2023 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Region 3 Coaching Staff of the Year. 
 
Hubbard and her staff led Cortland to an 18-2 record for its highest win total since the 2017 season. The Red Dragons won the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) regular-season title with a 6-0 record and won their second straight SUNYAC tournament title by defeating Brockport and New Paltz. Cortland won its NCAA Division III tournament first-round game versus Stevens, 3-1, before falling at Messiah in the second round, 3-1, to tie for ninth place nationally. 
 
Hubbard, who began coaching at Cortland in 2016, has an overall record of 109-28 with the Red Dragons. She's led the program to three SUNYAC titles and four NCAA tournament appearances.
