ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cortland women's gymnastics team dropped a 190.925-185.00 dual-meet decision at Ithaca College as part of the schools' "Rumble and Tumble" event featuring the gymnastics and wrestling teams.
 
Marisa Frascatore (Syracuse/Cicero-North Syracuse) finished second on balance beam with a season/career-high 9.65 and tied for second on vault with a 9.575. Bianca Carr (Tappan/Tappan Zee) placed second on floor exercise with a career-best 9.75 and was third on uneven bars with a 9.50 that tied her career best.
 
Delaney Brown (Peru) set a career high on vault with a 9.575, tying Frascatore for second place. Gianna Mirigliano (Springfield, PA) won the all-around with a season/career-high 38.00 that included a season/career-best 9.725 on floor exercise (tied for third), a fourth-place 9.525 on balance beam and a fifth-place 9.55 on vault.
 
Ithaca's Nicole Lonski won vault (9.625), Kaylie Goodwin and Zoe Kyriakopoulos tied for first on bars (9.525), Emily Kobusky won beam (9.75) and Cameryn Nichols won floor (9.80).
 
Cortland's best event of the evening was vault, with the Red Dragons winning 47.675-47.60.
 
Cortland will host Springfield in a dual meet Saturday at 1 p.m.

Gianna had her best meet yet proving that she is a serious contender in the all-around scoring a 38.0. Bianca is getting cleaner and cleaner each meet and we are looking for high scores from her as we near our postseason. Delaney and Marisa hitting both of their events getting career high scores. Definitely some great high points today though a tough day as a team in bars and beam. We will be looking to clean up on those events for our home meet Saturday!
