Junior Katie Cosenza (Stony Brook/Ward Melville) netted a goal, and freshman Tyla Vuotto (Lynbrook) scored her first career goal. Sophomores Sage Luke (Schenectady/Scotia-Glenville) and Hannah Blacher (Allendale, NJ/North Highlands Regional) each picked up an assist.

Cortland sophomore goalie Kristen Spendal (Dumont, NJ) made three saves, and UMass Boston junior goalie Isabella O'Connell (Abington, MA) registered six saves.

Rivera gave the Beacons a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute, scoring off a header on Sullivan's corner kick. Cosenza tied the game in the 32nd minute when she dribbled into the left side of the box and beat O'Connell with a shot inside the right post.

Vuotto scored what proved to be the game winner in the 65th minute with a turnaround shot from the middle of the box. Valerioti tallied her first goal in the 73rd minute on a 25-yard shot that caromed off the crossbar and over the goal line for a 3-1 Cortland lead. She completed the scoring with a one-time shot into the upper left off a cross from Luke for the 4-1 final.

The Red Dragons face Westfield St. at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Holloway Field in a game moved up due to possible inclement weather, while the Arcadia versus UMass Boston contest has been shifted to Grady Field at the Stadium Complex at 2 p.m.
