PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Cortland women's gymnastics team finished second out of four schools at a quad meet hosted by Rhode Island College. The Red Dragons posted a score of 187.05, trailing only Brockport (188.375) and placing ahead of both RIC (186.10) and Springfield (184.375) - two schools that finished ahead of the Red Dragons last week in a meet at Ursinus.
Junior
Rianna Adams (South Setauket/Ward Melville) finished second on uneven bars with a 9.55, her best score in the event since her freshman year when she was an All-American in the event. Freshman
Victoria Cave (Roanoke, VA/Hidden Valley) tied for second on balance beam with a 9.65.

Autumn Adkins (Aledo, TX) and
Alexa Rose Pahila (Greenville, SC/St. Joseph's Catholic School) each turned in three top-10 finishes. Adkins tied for fifth on vault (9.50), was sixth on uneven bars (9.375) and placed 10th on floor exercise (9.55). Pahila tied for seventh on vault (9.50) and tied for 10th on both bars (9.275) and balance beam (9.425).
Sophomore
Gianna Mirigliano (Springfield, PA) tied for eighth on beam (9.45) and sophomore
Ava Miranov (Morgantown, WV/University) and freshman
Rory Allan (Dubai, UAE/Gems International School Al Khail) each tied for ninth on vault (9.425). Freshman
Taylor Goldstein (Dix Hills/Half Hollow Hills West) tied for 10th on bars (9.275) and freshman
Kathryn McSweeney (East Brunswick, NJ) tied for 11th on floor (9.475).
Brockport's Emma Grace Sargent won vault (9.70) and bars (9.70), Springfield's Julia Reer was the beam champion (9.675), and RIC's Emma Tucker and Kelsey Gates and Springfield's Sophia LeBlanc finished in a three-way tie for first on floor (9.75). LeBlanc also won the all-around with a 37.95.
Cortland will compete at Division II West Chester University next Saturday at 1 p.m.
