Coach's Corner - Comments from Cortland Head Coach Sulekha Modi Zaug:
This team started off with strong hit bar routines, and fought on each event to continue to improve on the team score. Floor was on fire today with incredible artistry, strong tumbling, and you can tell they were truly enjoying performing. We broke a 48 on floor for the first time in a long time and that felt great! Beam routines were more confident this week and we have extremely difficult vaults that we are competing. Each week we are getting more comfortable with the pressure, trusting the numbers they have been putting in at practice and going for execution of skills as hard as they can. Everyone is invested in each routine and that really showed today. Personally, this is the highest team score we have scored yet as head coach of this team so It's exciting to know that we still have more to improve on and higher scores to come!
