CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland women's swimming and diving team won 13 events as the Red Dragons defeated visiting Alfred State, 158-105, in a dual meet at Holsten Pool.
Julia Bryce (Rochester/School of the Arts) won the 200-yard butterfly (2:20.23) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.35) and
Leah Bernhardt (Groton) won the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.21) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:31.27).
Ryann Redmond (Floral Park/Floral Park Memorial) was the 1,000-yard freestyle winner (11:19.56),
Emily Lantry (Helena/St. Lawrence) captured the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.75) and
Ella Garrow (Peru) won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.11).
Erin Galligan (Rochester/Our Lady of Mercy) was the 50-yard freestyle winner (26.43),
Alayna Miller (Hilton) won the 100-yard freestyle (55.21), and
Peyton Glor (Tonawanda/Mount Saint Mary Academy) was victorious in the 200-yard backstroke (2:17.57).
Tristinye Martinez-Reyes (Queens/Benjamin Cardozo) had the best time in the 200-yard IM (2:22.57) as an exhibition entry.
In diving,
Alyssa Haberlack (Long Beach) posted the top score on both boards, both as an exhibition entry. She scored 222.38 points on the 1-meter board and 220.05 points on the 3-meter board.
Cortland will travel to Ithaca next Saturday for a 1 p.m. dual meet.
