CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland women's swimming and diving team finished in first place out of four schools at the two-day Snow Flurries Invitational, hosted by the Red Dragons Friday and Saturday at Holsten Pool.
 
Cortland finished with 1,441.5 points, followed by Oneonta with 677.5, Jamestown Community College with 443 and Potsdam with 375.
 
Leah Bernhardt (Groton) won the 200-yard freestyle (2:03.50) and 1,650-yard freestyle (19:05.46) and Cassidy Torres (Brooklyn/High School for Health Professionals & Human Services) captured both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.72) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:40.96). Alyssa Haberlack (Long Beach) won both diving events with scores of 388.65 points on the 3-meter board and 373.73 points on the 1-meter board.
 
Ryann Redmond (Floral Park/Floral Park Memorial) was the winner in the 500-yard freestyle (5:28.00), Alayna Miller (Hilton) won the 50-yard freestyle (25.08) and Emily Lantry (Helena/St. Lawrence) was victorious in the 200-yard backstroke (2:16.87). Miller also placed second in the 100-yard freestyle (56.18), while Lantry and Redmond tied for second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:06.21). Tristinye Martinez-Reyes (Queens/Benjamin Cardozo) won the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.24) and Areiannah Martinez-Reyes (Queens/Benjamin Cardozo) posted a win in the 200-yard butterfly (2:24.21) and was second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.73).
 
Julia Bryce (Rochester/School of the Arts) earned second-place finishes in the 200-yard IM (2:20.78) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:15.62) and Samantha Matthes (Saint James/Smithtown East) was runner-up in 3-meter diving (363.33 points) and 1-meter diving (355.43 points). Morgan Hannon (Hyde Park/Franklin D. Roosevelt) was second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:32.76) and Makenna Deitz (Ravena/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) placed second in the 400-yard IM (5:32.25).
 
Cortland took the top two spots in each of the five relays, as follows:
