CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland wrestling team lost three matches at home in a quad meet that featured SUNY Oswego, nationally 13th-ranked The College of New Jersey, and Delaware Valley University. The Red Dragons fell to Osweog, 31-18, TCNJ, 39-6, and DelVal, 37-10, and are now 4-8 on the season.
 
Cortland won three matches versus Oswego, all by pin. J.C. Cardenas (Brooklyn/Grand Street Campus) registered a pin in 2:44 at 125 pounds, Hunter Hughes (Selden/Newfield) won by pin in 2:12 at 165 pounds, and Robby Cunningham (Miller Place) pinned his opponent at 285 pounds in 3:52.
 
Christian Paredes (Bohemia/Connetquot) won by a 4-2 decision at 157 pounds and Cunningham won 5-2 at 184 pounds for the Red Dragons' victories versus TCNJ. In the Delaware Valley match, Pat Ross (Woodstock/Onteora) won by technical fall at 174 pounds, 19-4 in 6:51, and Chris Bold (Miller Place) won by technical fall at 197 pounds, 16-0 in 4:41.
 
Cortland is idle for a week and a half before hosting Ithaca College on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m.
