Cortland Divers Compete at Ithaca Dick Comanzo Invitational

Alex Hilldale finished fifth out of 12 divers on the 1-meter board
ITHACA, N.Y. – Cortland's divers competed Sunday at the Dick Comanzo Diving Invitational, hosted by Ithaca College.
 
On the men's side, Kevin Kohlhoff (West Islip) finished second out of 12 divers on the 1-meter board with an 11-dive score of 498.45 points. Alex Hilldale (Binghamton/Chenango Valley) placed fifth with 405.55 points. Alfred State's Conor Compton won the event with 550.75 points. Cortland did not have any competitors in the men's 3-meter event.
 
For the women, Samantha Matthes (Saint James/Smithtown East) finished eighth out of 21 divers on the 1-meter board with an 11-dive score of 353.55 points. Alyssa Haberlack (Long Beach) was right behind Matthes in ninth place with 352.50 points. Megan McLaughlin (Avon) placed 11th with 350.10 points and Mackenzie Mulcahey (Oswego) was 14th with a score of 287.00 points. Kailee Payne of Ithaca won with 521.80 points.
 
In the women's 3-meter event, Haberlack was the top Red Dragon in sixth place out of 17 divers with 370.90 points. McLaughlin finished seventh (367.15) and Mulcahey was 11th (271.50). Payne was the 3-meter champ with 571.95 points.
