WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. – The Cortland wrestling team earned five top-four finishes, including two weight-class titles, at the Williams College Open on Saturday.
 
Robby Cunningham (Miller Place) pinned all four of his opponents to win the 184-pound title. He clinched the title with a pin in 4:30 versus Jamie Evarts of Williams. Cunningham upped his season record to 18-6 with 13 pins, a technical fall and two major decisions.
 
Angelo Centrone (Mahopac) won the 149-pound title with a 4-0 record, including two pins and two technical falls. He improved to 12-0 on the season with two pins and nine tech falls. He won by tech fall in his first two matches and then pinned opponents in the semifinals and finals.
 
Jack Pickersgill (Holtsville/Sachem East) placed second at 165 pounds with a 3-1 record. He opened with decisions in his first two matches, followed by a pin versus Fisher Stites of Williams in the semifinals. Pickersgill lost to Plymouth State's Chase Anestis in the finals.
 
Tymothey Murrell (Batavia) finished fourth at 184 pounds and Christian Lievano (East Setauket/Ward Melville) placed fourth at 125 pounds. Murrell went 4-2 on the day with two pins and a major decision, while Lievano was 3-2 with a major decision.
 
Cortland will compete this Friday and Saturday at the Budd Whitehill National Duals, hosted by Lycoming College in Pennsylvania.
