Cortland Baseball Annual Spring Clinic Set for Feb. 14

The SUNY Cortland baseball team will be conducting its 2026 Spring Clinic on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 12-3 p.m. at Lusk Field House on the SUNY Cortland campus. The event is open to high school students with 2026, 2027, 2028 and 2029 graduation years and costs $125 per position player or $100 for pitchers only.

Players will have an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the Cortland Baseball coaching staff. The players will run through a college-styled workout while the staff evaluates their skills. All positions players will take BP and show their defensive ability at their position. Pitchers will go through a college-level warm-up routine and then throw a bullpen (Rapsodo data will be provided). There also will be a tour of the SUNY Cortland baseball facilities.

Pre-registration is required. The clinic is limited to 40 players.

To register, please send an e-mail to head coach Joe Brown at joe.brown@cortland.edu with the following information:  Name, Age, School, Primary Position, and Email Address. For more information, call the Cortland Baseball Office at 607-753-4950.

High school teams sending six or more players will receive a special rate - this must be arranged ahead of time through the Cortland baseball office.

PROGRAM HISTORY:

Cortland has qualified for the NCAA Division III playoffs 32 straight seasons from 1993-2019 and 2021-25 (no tournament held in 2020). The NCAA streak is the longest ever in Division III history, and it's the longest active streak among all NCAA divisions. The Red Dragons won the 2015 NCAA Division III World Series title and have made a total of 15 World Series showings, the most by any school since the Series adopted an eight-team format in 1991. In addition to its national championship, Cortland was national runner-up in 2005 and 2010, finished third in 1997, 1998, 2016 and 2021, and placed fourth in 2007 and 2012. Since 1994, Cortland has had 12 players drafted professionally and 18 others who have signed professional free agent contracts.
