Cortland took control early in the first set with a 10-1 run after the teams were tied 3-3. Arroyo had three aces during that stretch. The Red Dragons went up 16-4 to open the second set on the way to an easy win. The third set was tighter with four ties and four lead changes. Oswego was within 15-13 after a Vugteveen kill, but Cortland scored three straight on a Pirrera kill and two Arroyo aces to go up 18-13. The Lakers made a final charge to close the margin to two at 18-16, but Cortland scored five of the next six points and weren't threatened after that. Rich's service ace ended the match.
